Do you sometimes wish that someone could help you get organized for the upcoming school year or that your children could be accountable to someone else for their homeschool work? Connections offers accountability services, which could help you with these issues.
Accountability Set-up Only
The homeschool coordinator will meet with the family to look over the curriculum and help set goals for the school year and to give ideas on how to stay on track and on what to do when you get off-track. If families need help in choosing curriculum or want to borrow from Connections lending library, we can work this out on the phone or via email ahead of the meeting.
Cost: $20/hour
Accountability Program
The parent is responsible for choosing, purchasing, and teaching the curriculum; the homeschool coordinator is the support person providing accountability and guidance when needed.
The homeschool coordinator meets with the family before the school year begins to discuss the curriculum, methods of teaching, methods of evaluating the student’s progress, and to plan goals for each quarter.
After the initial planning meeting, the homeschool coordinator meets with the family monthly to document work completed. Parents are responsible for grading students’ work. More frequent meetings may be scheduled if the parents and coordinator believe they are needed.
Report cards are issued each quarter.
Cost: $20/hour
Accountability/Tutoring
The homeschool coordinator will tutor and monitor your child’s progress (accountability) in one or more subjects for $20 per hour. I can meet with your child once a week, every other week, or at a set time that fits in both of our schedules. If I travel to your home, the $20/hour will include travel time for one way. Otherwise, you may bring your child to Grace Church or another location that is convenient for us both.
Connections does not sell or provide curriculum. We do have a limited number of materials available in our resource lending library.
